Discounts- We offer a 10% discount for all paid in full shares until March 15. After that all paid in full shares will have a 2.5% discount.
Signing Up – When you sign up, a secure, online member profile is created for you with your share options, your pick-up location, and your account activity. You can view and edit your account, change your pick up location, credit card info, or password and even place a vacation or suspension hold just by signing in to your account.
Payments – Pre- paid payments will be billed one time by credit card or electronic check. Our payment plans, Paid in full, monthly installments and pay-as you-go ,go through Paypal. This will give you three options: credit, debit or electronic check. Pay as you go will be charged weekly, installments monthly. We do not store any of your personal or financial information on our website. Our order site is run by Farmigo and your information is stored securely by Authorize.net.
Picking Up Your Order – Please remember to pick up your order or have a friend or family member do so. Please get acquainted with our vacation hold option. Be sure your name is checked off the list when you pick up by the driver or your coordinator.
Missing Your Pick Up – If you miss your pick up, we will try to send it with a member who may know you. Otherwise it will be donated to a worthy place. Workplace CSA members are covered and have the advantage of co-workers to cover for them. We’re sorry but we cannot give a credit for boxes that are not picked up; but don’t worry, the produce will not go to waste. Herb and Plow produces high quality food, but it will decline quickly, if not picked up on time.
Changing Your Pick Up Location – If you want to change your pick up location, please do so 2 days before your pick up day. If you switch and then want to switch back, you’ll need to log into your account again to do so.
Vacation and Suspension Holds – You may put your Herb and Plow delivery on hold by logging into your account and go to the delivery hold section. Please do this by midnight the day before your delivery. Pay as you go members’ credit/debit card will not be charged while your delivery is on hold. We are not responsible to refund you if you do not put the hold on for the delivery date. Check the calender to make sure you have the correct date. If for example, you want a hold for June 1, type in June 1 to June 1 in the Delivery Hold Section on your Account Page. Members who paid in full are eligible for 2 vacation holds . This means that we will either give you a double share the week after your vacation or give it to you in smaller increments. If there are more than 2 vacation holds for paid in full members, we are not obligated to refund .Many members give their share to friends or neighbors , who will pick up their share and enjoy the food. Communications – Herb and Plow communicates with you via email on a regular basis to inform you of a payment or to remind you of a scheduled pick up. Sometimes we will need to send out alerts about your order or inform you about happenings on our farm. By becoming a member of our CSA, you are agreeing to open and read all email communications as soon as you see them since much of the information is time sensitive!! E newsletters will give you farm news, what’s in your boxes, and more. We do reserve the right to make changes to weekly shares if the need arises. PLEASE READ THEM. THEY WON’T BE LONG!
Cancellations – You may cancel your subscription at any time, giving us 2 days notice before your pick up day by calling Chris at 423.223.4854 or sending her an email at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please request a confirmation email back confirming your cancellation.
Holiday Changes – We will give you plenty of notice about holiday date changes.
BRING YOUR OWN BAGS OR BOXES
Members must bring their own bags to the pick up site. Their shares will be transferred from our crates to their bags. You will need to make sure your host has 2 bags for you.
CROP FAILURE OR SURPLUS
If there is random crop failure we will substitute other products. If there is large scale crop failure, you will be notified and we will generally extend the season so that you receive your 24 weeks of shares. Surplus we will share in the bounties.
NETWORK WITH OTHER FARMS
Herb and Plow will network with the Noah Swarey family. They are Amish sustainable farmers who have provided chemical free, non GMO, high quality produce to our CSAs in the past. We still grow at least 75% of the produce and Noah will provide quality diverse crops to our CSA program.
Our Guarantee – Herb and Plow guarantees our produce for quality and freshness, and we strive to provide excellent customer service.
